Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts can not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is meant to hoist personnel is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
