Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160�° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360�° rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit can also reach 110�° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were previously inaccessible by conventional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing production and efficiency.
