JLG Telehandlers Illinois
John L. Grove chose to stop working after spending many years working together with his brother to be able to build their crane manufacturing business into a world leader. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country journey in their R.V. After that trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's leading producer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling equipment.
John spent much of the time during the R.V. trip talking to prior business associates who the Groves were visiting on their trip. While they were visiting the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John discovered a huge untapped market for a kind of machine which can quickly and safely raise people into the air in order to perform maintenance and construction functions.
When John and his wife returned from the journey, John decided to take action. He and two close friends started a business and after that purchased a small metal fabrication company within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an original group of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that first machine are still being integrated into the existing machines
The company has come a very long way since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country trip and have grown significantly since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Many innovative machines are made to help customers be more effective and work safer.
JLG has remained devoted to being at the forefront of the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration really seriously. They attempt to deliver in overall comfort and safety, as well as in performance so that the driver can be as effective as possible.
