Aisle Types
Narrow Aisle and Wide Aisle lift trucks are classed due to the types of aisles they have been designed to operate in. These machines could turn in an aisle, while Very Narrow Aisle trucks really don't turn within the aisle. There are several aisle widths to take into consideration with different units.
VNA or Very Narrow Aisle trucks work in less than 6 feet areas and normally utilize specific guidance systems such as optical, rail or wire systems in order to travel in the aisles. Several various models of VNA trucks comprise Swing Masts, Order Selectors and Turret Trucks. These are common models in compact retail spaces and in several storage and warehouse situations.
Narrow Aisle or NA trucks could operate within aisles that are 8 feet to 10 feet. Usually these are stand-up models like Reach Trucks. They are usually utilized within warehouses and storage facilities.
The wide aisle forklift is designed to work in aisles more than 8 feet to 10 feet.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard which is made to lessen operator exhaustion by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is really large and has an 8" low step height which helps reduce overall body exhaustion by easing frequent exit and entry. The unit includes polyurethane steer tires to absorb vibration and shocks caused by uneven floor in order to enable smooth traveling. For added comfort, there is a cushioned armrest and floor mat as well as a backrest designed to help keep operators comfortable and therefore more productive while limiting exhaustion.
