Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
The audible devices such as back-up alarms or motion alarms produce sound which needs to be loud enough in order to be heard above the noise that the forklift creates in the operating place.
The sound has to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or noises in the work setting. Sound should be readily discernible from other sound or audible devices in the work area. The audible device can employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; thus, care has to be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get deactivated from operators and workers because they could find them annoying. Also, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Operator & Application Options:

Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator can choose the performance need for the particular application. Also, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to lessen and adjust the unit's maximum performance enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating features in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the model and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
