Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is used for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This model is suitable for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, such as retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering simple.
The operator of this particular type of forklift generally stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This configuration allows for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment could pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the whole equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is utilized to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Machines which are electrically powered are not noisy and do not make exhaust fumes, making them the suitable alternative for closed areas such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel model is not suggested to be utilized indoors as it can be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
