Genie Zoom Boom

Genie Zoom Boom

Bud Bushnell founded Genie Industries during 1966, after he purchased the manufacturing rights to a material lift which operated on compressed air. The name Genie originated from the "magic in the bottle" that was utilized to raise and lower the hoist. This device greatly impressed lots of customers and thus, the name was established.

Genie has moved into many new markets, since the need for work platforms and lifts grew. Over time, as the requirements for new machines to meet numerous applications grew, the company made itself recognized in many new markets. Like for example, Genie went into making stick booms, telehandlers, light towers, man-lifts and articulated booms.

Because of the economic downturn during the beginning of the 2000s, Genie decided to obtain a partner who had the same values. They partnered up together with Terex Corporation. This company has a history obtaining equipment manufacturers all over the globe who proved to be a good business match. Genie Industries was sold in the year 2002 and became a part of Terex Corporation.

In the first years after the sale, it was determined to maintain the Genie brand name within the Terex Aerial Work Platforms or AWP segment of Terex, due to the name's solid reputation in the marketplace. Thus, all Genie equipment continue to be sold under the Genie brand.

Genie takes pride in listening to their customers. The company is dedicated to continually improving efficiency and quality and is also dedicated to lessening waste. Even long after the sale has been closed, the company concentrates on providing outstanding support. These are the very work disciplines that have made Genie a trusted brand over the past decades and continue to keep their reputation for quality and top-of-the-line equipment.

The Bi-Energy and DC equipment provided by Genie provide quiet operation, emission-free even in the most delicate work settings. Where the machinery has to be driven significant distances, such as within industrial situations, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages of a 48V DC machinery along with the power of a diesel-powered generator.

Compared to any of the different types of aerial platforms, telescopic booms offer greater horizontal reach overall. These equipment are ideal for limited access areas in construction and other industrial environments. The Genie Telescopic S booms have been designed to provide utmost productivity. These machines deliver supreme traction and the drive speed you need in order to travel around the job area and work site.
